We’re looking for a bright Compliance Guardian to join our team

At Critical TechWorks, our Compliance Guardians play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company adheres to the highest risk management and compliance standards while maintaining the agility and innovation that define us. If you’re experienced in risk management and passionate about developing strategies to address operational, financial, and compliance risks, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic team shaping the future of mobility for the BMW Group.

Here is what your day to day will look like:

• Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework: Develop and oversee strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and our strategic goals. 

• Internal Control Systems: Continuously implement and enhance internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance across all organizational objectives.  

• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments—ranging from delivery and operational to human capital and compliance risks—while embedding risk management practices across teams. 

• Incident and Crisis Management: Lead incident management initiatives, root cause analysis, and business continuity planning to address risks and prevent recurrence. 

• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, constant communication with stakeholders regarding risk management strategies, activities, and effectiveness. 

• Compliance and Collaboration: Ensure compliance with legal obligations and internal policies while fostering a culture of risk awareness and cooperation. 

Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’re likely to have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in risk management, ideally in the IT sector or a large enterprise.

• Expertise in identifying and mitigating IT-specific risks such as cybersecurity and data privacy.

• Proficiency in risk management tools and software, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to break down silos and engage organizational areas.

• Fluency in English and Portuguese.

• Cross-Functional Partner: Work closely with internal teams to identify and mitigate risks while enabling compliance across the organization.

• Crisis Manager: Act decisively in high-pressure situations to ensure the continuity and resilience of critical operations.

• Be available to travel abroad for short periods, as required to support all the phases of the product development cycle when needed. 

• Have excellent English oral and written skills. German communication skills will be a plus.
