At Critical TechWorks (CTW), we recognize that everyone has different needs throughout their personal and professional lives. Our Compensation Package includes a comprehensive list of benefits to provide you with vast support, including well-being, learning and growth, mobility, education, and a healthy work-life balance.

Benefits
Our benefits are universal – they apply to all employees with a direct contract with Critical TechWorks, depending on the specific rules for each benefit.
You will have access to these benefits after your start date, as well as all the needed details and tools to apply to them.

As part of your compensation package, Critical TechWorks subscribes to a Health Insurance plan to cover your medical needs!
Our health insurance partner is Multicare (Fidelidade). No grace periods will be applied when the insurance enrolment is made at the admission date.
The full details of the Health Insurance Plan and Coverages can be found attached to your mail.
Upgrading your Insurance Plan:
- You can add additional coverage to your Health Insurance, in some specific areas, by requesting an upgrade to the Insurance Plan at your own expense.
- The cost associated with this upgrade will be deducted from your monthly salary. Taxes will be applied, namely IRS.
Including your household:
- Health Insurance is also available for your household (spouse and children) with the same exact conditions as yours, meaning they will be in the same health plan as yours (also applicable if you enroll for an upgrade).
- Plan A insurance for your spouse and children is fully funded by CTW
- If you choose the Upgrade (Plan A+), the cost of your spouse's and/or child's Upgrade will be deducted from your payroll.

Flex Mobility aims to provide you with the best solution for your commute to the office, whether by public transportation and/or by car.
The yearly amount of 1.100€ (one thousand one hundred euros) paid €100 (one hundred euros) per month from January till November via your Coverflex account – the platform where you can manage your benefits. For newcomers, the allowance will be made available in the following month of admission and will be proportional to the working months in the admission year. You can use your Flex Mobility allowance to:
- Pay your monthly public transportation card
- Pay for your parking expenses
- Pay for your TVDE (Uber, Bolt, and others)
- Opt-Out via Coverflex where you can request the available amount to be paid via payroll
As we also want to promote flexibility, if none of the above options aligns with your needs, you can use this amount in the benefits described below:

- Childcare Tickets and Education Expenses
(all details on how to use Coverflex and the benefits above will be available after your first day. Please be aware that some of the choices you make may be taxed - IRS and/or SS).

The Childcare & Education Care is set up to support your expenses with your children and is fully funded by Critical TechWorks. You can use this allowance to support the costs associated with your children's Health Insurance and/or the costs associated with the school or other education expenses:
- If your child is under 18 years of age, you will have access to an allowance of €800 (eight hundred euros), per year.
- If your child is older than 18 years of age, you will have access to an allowance of €1000 (one thousand euros), per year.
- For newcomers, the allowance will be made available the following month of admission to Critical TechWorks, which will be proportional to the working months in the admission year.
The monthly amount of the allowance will be available on your Coverflex account.

We have clear in our minds that the gross part of our journey is dedicated to our project (80%), but we also believe that 20% of the time should be invested in learning and development.
To help you succeed, you have several tools at your disposal, namely:

- Individual Budget (currently working on a reimbursement method, and you can manage your annual personal budget of €600 in your Coverflex account. In the admission year this value is proportional

Critical TechWorks has The Ultimate Driving Machine Club policy (Car Club policy), which offers our people the possibility of driving a BMW Group vehicle at very competitive prices. As we are part of the BMW Group, we have reduced prices for BMW and MINI models. You can select the model you want, and BMW will apply the corporate discount.
For the rental option via the company, in addition to discounted prices, Critical TechWorks offers a subsidy of €120 (one hundred and twenty euros) per month which is deducted from your monthly rental fee. This means that if you select a car model with a rental of €380 per month, you will pay €260 (two hundred and sixty euros) per month.
You can also buy a car (BMW or MINI) or motorbike directly from BMW with special discounts.
Our Car Club policy will be shared after your start date.

Critical TechWorks provides you with a phone number with a standard communications package (supplied by Vodafone) for your professional and personal use as part of your total compensation package.
All Workers at CTW can choose to have a Phone Plan or a Mobile Broadband. If you wish to enroll in this phone plan you can either do it through a new number* or if you have a personal number and want to keep using it, you don’t need to request a new number. Instead, ask Vodafone for portability to transfer your existing number to the company plan.
*If you don´t want to share your personal contact number in Pulsar (internal HR system), you can use this plan to have a different number - use the statement attached to your contract to select your option.The Phone Plan is fully supported by CTW and it includes 4000 minutes/SMS and unlimited mobile data.
With the subscription of a Phone Plan, we will provide you with a 250€ voucher, per CTW user, that you can use to buy equipment at Vodafone.pt (Business).

People are our company's most valuable asset, and it's important that we continue to attract the brightest and best candidates out there. That's why we've called our employee referral program 'CRITICAL's Most Wanted'.
After successfully referring a candidate, you will be awarded points. These points will be converted into cash and available on your Coverflex account. For example, if you are awarded 400 points, you will have an additional €400(four hundred euros) in your Coverflex account.

Critical TechWorks aims to provide adequate working conditions for individuals and teams, and workstation equipment is an essential component of this. We offer a laptop computer, headphones, mouse, and adapters.
The office and workspace are vital aspects of our culture, which we take special care of. We have offices in the center of Oporto, Braga and Lisbon and we are continuously improving our office conditions. We have our Master Chef in each office to take care of us. They run our kitchen and provide always soup, fresh fruit and delicious snacks.

We respect your work-life balance and believe that you work every day to achieve the best results. We don't have a strict 9-to-6 working day, so you can manage your working time as you wish while respecting the needs of your team and project. We believe that working together as a team in a collaborative environment requires some level of personal and face to face interaction. But we also recognise that a degree of freedom to work from home is needed and appreciated, especially if you have small children or an older person to take care of.
At Critical TechWorks, working from home is not a dogma. You can take advantage of this time, but remember that we enjoy your presence and the interactions with you. Ensure that it fits with your role and that your team and customers are comfortable with the situation.

Parental protection is a fundamental component of comprehensive work-family policies. Protecting parental leave at work is one of our primary concerns. We comply very stringently with all the government rules and recommendations in this regard, but we do more.
As such, and going above and beyond we’ve decided to supplement the period given by social security to the mother/father, with an additional 50% of extra days of paid leave – meaning, for example, if you requested 120 days, you’ll have an extra 60 days of paid leave by CTW.

We understand that if you are between new work experiences, in the middle of the year, you may have something planned. For that reason, we are not very formal, there is no need to wait until you have completed six months of your contract to take a holiday break.
Your holiday request won’t be pending someone’s approval. We believe that communication is crucial. Just make sure everyone in your team agrees and is aware of your holiday schedule.
Time counts, and we reward long-term relationships. At Critical TechWorks you can have up to 8 extra days of holidays. After completing the first year you receive 2 extra days and for every multiple of 2 two years of continuity at Critical TechWorks, you receive 2 extra days, that cumulatively can grow to a maximum of 30 days.

What is Coverflex?
Coverflex is a benefits management platform.
Each employee has a Coverflex account where they can use their benefit balance and also meal allowance:
- Food: Your meal allowance is inside the Coverflex card (that you can request on your first day), and is exempt from IRS and SS. You can consult and manage your balance in the app, and use the card in restaurants, supermarkets and food delivery services, among others. It works both online and in-store, in any establishment that accepts VISA.
- Benefits: you will have different benefits available on your Coverflex account - for example the Flex Mobility, the Individual Learning Budget (and others depending on your specific choices).
- Discounts: With your Coverflex card you can enjoy dozens of exclusive discounts on various services.
