Join Critical TechWorks as a Python Developer and be part of our dynamic team driving the digital transformation in the automotive landscape for BMW Group's future driving machines. In this role, you'll be more than just a coder; you'll be a problem-solver, planner, and doer, bringing energy and star-quality to crafting high-quality, reliable software components for a variety of groundbreaking projects.

• Framework Development: Engage in developing frameworks to facilitate integration testing for various communication protocols, ensuring seamless interactions within complex systems.

• Automation and Testing: Craft and enhance automation frameworks for comprehensive testing, including hardware, software, and model-in-the-loop scenarios, to ensure robustness and reliability.

• Scripting and Configuration: Regularly develop Python scripts for Linux environments, focusing on configuring the integration of a diverse range of tools within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including development, testing, and operations, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Quality and Reliability: Apply rigorous testing and quality assurance practices to maintain high standards in all software components, contributing to the overall reliability of the systems.

• Innovative Solutions: Contribute to the development of innovative solutions in areas like framework development for integration testing, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

This is a Rockstar Developer role, our take on the classic Software Developer.

Standing as the brick-and-mortar of Critical TechWorks, it plays a crucial role in designing, developing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining our product. You can find out more - and check other Development vacancies - at this link.

Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’re likely to have:

• Proven experience developing in Python.

• Experience developing scripting for Linux.

• Experience with other scripting languages (preferably Shell).

• Experience with version control tools (preferably Git).

• Adopt DevOps best practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for building, testing, and deploying reliable software.

• Operate software post-deployment, including outside working hours if needed (extra compensation applies).

• Travel abroad occasionally to support all phases of product development.

• Have excellent English oral and written skills. German communication skills will be a plus.
